Brief Answer:
upper respiratory tract infection management

Detailed Answer:
Hi!

Welcome to health care magic!

I am Dr. Saddiq Ul Abidin. I have read your problem in detail and will try to help you in best way possible.

It is sad to know that you have been going through all this lately, but all your symptoms correlate to upper respiratory tract infection which is unfortunately not getting any benefit from erythromycin.

Since 4 days were enough in the dosages you have mentioned, for the infection to respond and fever to settle down, but since it didn't, so now you need to switch the antibiotic after discussing with your GP. If I were your doctor, I would have suggested switching to moxifloxacin or Levofloxacin.

You also need to use some good anti histamine for the other symptoms like dribbling of mucus into throat and runny nose. For that purpose you can use, cetrizine or other non sedating anti allergic.

Meanwhile, keep on using paracetamol along with steam inhalations, which will give you symptomatic benefits.

Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. kindly rate me maximum before closing, and leave your feedback if possible.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ul abidin.
