Question : had diareah for about 18 hrs did not vomit bad stomach cramps laid around all day then ate eight saltine crackers started getting a sinus head ache took a night time cold cap woke feeling much better but tounge is covered black

I read your query and understand few details.

Is your diarrhoea relieved completely?
Is your headache relieved completely?
Are you suffering from Asthma or Allergy?

Neither saltine crackers or the Alkazeltser PM would cause this new observation of blackish discoloration of tongue. Night Time Liquid Caps Cold has Dextromethophan and Doxylamine. They are generally effective.
I think you should just rest more with warm liquids and salt water gargles for 24 hours. The discoloration could be from reflux from stomach. This should fade away. You can scrape the tongue with a cleaner.

You should be alright in next 24 hours. Suppose you start with new symptoms like fever, cough with sputum, breathlessness you should see a doctor.
