Suggest Treatment For Severe Dizziness And Tingling Sensation In The Hands
Question: hello, I have severe dizziness with tingling in the outer sides of my hands. Is this just a bad case of Vertigo?
Brief Answer:
It is due to nerve compression
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
What you are referring to is called tingling and numbness. It occurs when nerves that supply the area get compressed somewhere. A clinical examination will help in finding out where the nerve compression is located and how to relieve the same.
If the sensation seems to be radiating down both the arms, it could be due to cervical spondylosis.

Thank you! However, I am more concerned about my dizziness. My dizziness is so bad that I am nauseated and have difficulty standing!
Thank you.
Thank you.
Brief Answer:
Medication suggested. Also get your blood pressure checked.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for clarifying. Dizziness and nausea usually occur due to instability involving our inner ear which also has the organ of balance. Taking Prochlorperazine (available in brandnames like Stemetil) tablet thrice daily should provide relief but since it is a prescription medicine you would need to get it written by a doctor.
