Brief Answer:
spinning is normally due to involvement of middle ears by a virus

Detailed Answer:
Hi welcome to Health care magic,
a feeling of spinning is normally due to involvement of middle ears by a virus, or due to certain drugs.
It can also be due to cervical spondylosis (more of dizziness and not spinning)
Rarely due to acidity--again no spinning.
And very rarely it can be due to a problem in the brain.
You should take a course of Betahistine 8 mg three times with Cinnarizine 25 three times a day.
But these are prescription drugs and should be taken only under medical supervision.
If it does not subside, do see your doctor for this.
Pain in hips is unrelated. You can try a pain relief balm or a short course of Motrin for 3 days. If not better, you may need it to be x-rayed.
Regards
