Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome on HCM!
I passed carefully through your medical history and would explain that the combination of 'Verapamil and Bystolic' seems to adversely affect you actual clinical symptomatology.
Your increased body weight is due to decompensated heart failure and your actual therapy doesn't help in this regard (in fact both (Verapamil and Bystolic have negative inotropic properties and may aggravate your clinical status).
Instead, I would recommend switching to Carvedilol and any loop diuretic drugs (such as Furosemide, Torasemide, etc.) which would respectively help in controlling your heart rate and relaxing your blood vessel walls (beta and alpha blocking properties) and also eliminating your excessive body fluids and returning your normal natural weight.
A cardiac ultrasound review would be necessary to clarify the actual level of cardiac performance and further optimize your cardiac therapy.
You need to discuss with your attending physician on the above mentioned issues.
I remain at your disposal in case of any further uncertainties.
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri
