Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mother is aged about 71 years, 59 kg. weight, 5 ft. height. She is taking Anti-hypertensives Perindopril (4 mg.) and Cilnidipine(10 mg.) twice daily along with DITIDE (1/2 tablet) daily. Still a bit leg edema is seen . BP 140/65 and Pulse 67/min. suffering from Dyastolic Dysfunction (Grade-I). Is it due to Dyastolic Dysfunction ? Is it better to use Torsemide (10 mg.) instead of DITIDE (1/2 tablet) ? OR What are your advice ?
Hi, Oedema might be due to your heart problem. Torsemide is better diuretic with less side effects and having strong diuretic action. Ok and take care.
