Yes, it can cause fatigue however confusion is unlikely unless there is severe inflammation that has involved the brain or meninges, which is quiet rare. You should get your blood pressure checked and take tylenol or ibuprofen. If the headache persists or worsens then a neurological assessment via a physical exam should be done to rule out any serious cause. A course of antibiotics , decongestants and anti histamines is all that would be required at this stage in consultation with your doctor.
