Suggest Treatment For Severe Headache, Neck Stiffness And Vomiting
Question: Hi Doctor,
I went for a run yesterday and ran around 2-3 kms after a long time at a frantic pace.
This was 8 pm eve. I was breathless by the end of it and almost fell like I was going to lose balance (that is normal and is usually the case which persists for half hour on normal runs), but had heat bellowing from my head and felt like I had a headache after the run, with concentrated pain on the right side of my head stretching to my neck. Not sure had this kind of pain before. Also felt nauseous and vomitish, even though I did not vomit. Its 5 pm on the next day - I am still nauseous and even though there isn't any splitting headache there is a weird kind of dullness on the right side of my head. How serious is this, what could it be and do I need to do anything?
breathlessness is normal and not losing balance* (Correction)

Brief Answer:
Take treatment as advised
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
The headache seems to be of migraine type which appears after exertion, decreased sleep, fasting or delayed meals.
Very severe headache with neck stiffness and vomiting may be due to subarachnoid hemorrhage.
In such a case, you need to visit to a neurologist and get brain imaging.
Presently pain killers may be sufficient if pain is decreasing.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Do get back to me for further queries.
