Brief Answer:
Some practical suggestions of what you can do to relieve symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using Healthcaremagic to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

It needs 24-48 hours for the antibiotic to work and you should start feeling better.
Headache is a side effect of the sinuses full with infected secretions, so when the infection will be treated the secretions will start to drain.
Drinking plenty of fluids will help so the secretions will be thinner because of the proper hydration.
It is recommended that you do nasal irrigation with saline solution water (irrigate the saline water with a syringe from each nostril) twice/day if possible. It will clean the nose and stimulate the sinuses to drain.
Take Advil as needed for the headache.
Medicines like decongestants have not proven to be helpful.

If worse or not better, I would recommend seeing again the local doctor because it may mean that you are resistant from Amoxicillin.

Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you need more clarifications.

Regards,
