I believe that I have a sinus infection and have been using an over the counter nasal spray. Is there any way to cure this without getting antibiotics. My head is still extremely stuffed up, and I have also had at least 3 sinus infections in the past year. Does this also mean i could have a cronic sinus condition?
More than 3 attacks of any disease means it can become chronic. Since you have had 3 such attacks it is best to follow the principles of such symptoms. I would advise you the following: - First of all consult an ENT Surgeon to have proper clinical evaluation, examination, ENT Endoscopy - CT scan of nose and sinuses is the most important in your case to have a confirmed diagnosis and if the sinuses are clear then you need the treatment only for the nasal symptoms and signs - If there is sinusitis then the treatment can be medical in the form of antihistamine, steroids and so on - If the problems does not resolve after 2 weeks of medical treatment you may need some sort of surgical correction for the conditions diagnosed well by following the above mentioned things
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
