Suggest Treatment For Severe Headache
Should undergo a CT brain
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Bilateral subdural bleeding in old age may be secondary to some trivial or significant head injury.
Operation is indicated in case of significant volume and compression over brain.
Headache and features of raised intracranial tension may be present.
Usually such headaches are continuous increasing on coughing , sneezing and bending or straining.
Sensitivity to touch is not a feature and may be some primary tension type headache.
Possibility of recurrent subdural hematoma should also be considered and repeat imaging should be done.
You should visit your neurosurgeon for examination and advice regarding need of repeat imaging.
In case of normal CT head, amitriptyline may be used for primary tension type headache.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
