Brief Answer:
Possibility of acute migraine headache
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
This may be an acute attack of migraine precipitated by sleep disturbances.
Is there any previous history of migraine?
Any nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light or sound?
You should take proper rest and sleep.
Pain killers can be continued today too.
The headache decreases in 2-3. days.
Avoid excessive tea or coffee.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Do get back to me for further queries.

Hello Dr. XXXXXXX
No history of migrane before. But I had vertigo problem 6 years back and later it never repeated, but I used to get headache which used to come down after an hour after I take the pain killer. Vomit sensation was there yesterday and even in the morning today but it's not there now. I never observed getting irritated to light or sound but from yesterday I was avoiding light ans sound. I am trying yo take rest but I am unable to sleep properly. I stopped using tea/coffee because of gastro issues and I am having green tea. Only yesterday and today I had tea and coffee assuming it would reduce the headache. Comparitively headache is reduced from yesterday but it's still there.
So, could you please sugges which medicine to take? Also, would you like me to visit the doctor?
Thank You.

Brief Answer:
Visit to a neurologist
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Most likely it is a migraine attack.
You can take Naproxen for pain relief.
For evaluation you can consult a neurologist.
Hopefully this episode should end in a day.
Preventive steps for future headache episodes are timely food, regular night sleep, avoiding fasting, skipping meals, excessive tea or coffee or chocolate.

Thank you very much Dr. XXXXXXX for your suggestion and the medication. I will take Naproxen as suggested and also will visit a neurologist as soon as possible and I will definitely prevent excessive tea coffee and chocolate also will have good sleep and timely food.
Also, can you please suggest how many time in a day can I take Naproxen? Can I continue working on my laptop with headphones on, will that affect?
Thank You.
