Question: dear Dr.
I was wondering if you can suggest anything for a severe headache that's been bothering me for the last two days. the pain is all concentrated on lower left side behind the left year and is extremely sensitive to touch. not responsive to pain medicato. i took 3 extra strength advils during the day .I no other symptoms such as blurry vision or numbness. I am otherwise healthy 43 year old male ..5 10. approx 165 pounds.

HI,

Am so sorry to hear about this pain. Do you have any ear pain associated to this or your believe it is entirely located on the skin surface?

Because more potent pain medications are not available OTC, I will suggest a combination with common drugs that is more potent when taken together.

Tylenol: 1g every 6-8hours
Advil: 600mg every 8hours.

Remember to eat well, especially while on advil.
