Brief Answer:
Needs complete management of migraine

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Migraine can be very bothering and very troublesome. Ideal way is o treat it ASAP even before onset of aura with prodromal symptoms, every one has his own prodromal symptoms like constipation, sleep disorders, lack of appetite, mood swing etc. It is said that if the medications are taken with in 15 minutes of onset of headache then its the best policy.

You should avoid triggers, like lack and exess of sleep, bright light, weather change, loud noises, alcohol, smoking, strong odur things like perfumes etc, cold stimulants like ice cream, alcohol, beer, soda, lack of exercise, skipping meals, processed foods and sugar, tyramines, heavily yeasted breads , chocolates etc to prevent flares of migraine. YOu should keep a migraine diary and note the pattern as well as triggers for your migraine.

There are many non medicine options for treatment like cognitiv behavioural therapy, relaxation therapy, occipital nerve stimulators, transcranial magnetic stimulators, butterbur herbs, feverfew herbs, riboflavin, magnesium,co enzyme Q, melatonin, body works like osteopathy, ayurveda, chiropractice, massage, yoga , shiatsu, watsu physiotherapy etc are some of the measures you can try at home.

It is saif that first 15 minutes are crucial and self medication with aspirin,a cetaminophen and caffeine together in those first 15 minutes make the chances of early resolution and prolonged headache free time till next episode.

Botox should be considered only when other prophylaxis medications of antiepileptics, antihypertensives and antidepressants fail. Using stadol was a stupid idea in first place as opioids worsen migraine, though giving temporary relief and should not be used at all . So go for Botox and til then above mentioned measures i said will help you keep the headache in control.

I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
