Suggest Treatment For Severe Muscle Spasms In The Neck
Question: I have had a horrible crick in my neck for the past two days. I can barely move my neck due to the horrible pain. What can I do?
Brief Answer:
Cervical spasm
Detailed Answer:
Hi there
Thanks for the query
It is possible that you have an acute cervical(neck) muscle spasm, due to nerve pinching at the back of the neck.
Avoid turning the neck to the affected side and also bending neck forwards. Apply hot packs to the affected region. Take Tablet Diclofenac with Thicolchicoside combination twice a day after meals and Tablet Rabeprazole twice a day before meals for 5 days. Apply pain killer gel. Avoid using thick pillow under your head while sleeping.
You should be fine in some time.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

in order to get the medicine you suggested do i need to see a doctor?
Brief Answer:
One of the drugs needs a prescription
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back,
You would need a prescription from a Doctor for the Diclofenac and Thicolchicoside tablet. If you aren't able to see a Doctor, you can take Tablet Ibuprofen 400mg twice a day after food instead which is available over the counter.
