default
Posted on Wed, 11 Feb 2015
Question: My son has every day, a bout with severe nausea, followed by sneeze then mild chest pain. This only lasts a few minutes, but it happens every day. He has had a thorough check up by a cardiologist and has been told all looks good. He has had no gastro exams.

Brief Answer:
Looks like an allergic reaction.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
I need more information so that I am better able to help you.

What is your Sons age?
Has he had any ailments in the past?
Is there a specific time of day or related to any of the meals?
Does the pain require any medication or it subsides on its own?

Do let us know the answers to the above questions to help you.

I would suggest to get a Chest Xray done and to rule out allergies to common irritants and food stuffs

I feel it would be an allergic reaction that he is experiencing. If the time is near about same you can give him an anti allergic medicine like Levo-cetrizine one hour before the expected time of the attack.

Take care.

He is 49, this happens in morning only, with or without food. He will have intense nausea (does not vomit), then within minutes will sneeze, nausea goes away then periodic chest discomfort for several hours. Has been cleared of having blockages. He is in very good health, some seasonal allergies, exercises daily & eats a good healthy diet. Takes no medication. Subsides on its own, but occurs daily.

Brief Answer:
Probably an allergy

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Its most probably due to allergy.
He will need to find out what he is allergic to.
And the medicine I advised can be tried.
That should solve the problem. If not see a Physician who can run a GI test or Endoscopy.
Take care.
