What Causes Vomiting, Head Pressure And Dizziness?

Today s Tuesday, last Friday I smashed the back of my head into my trunk when I bent in to get something out, and unbeknown to me the trunk had begun to shut. I have had severe nausea for the past 2 days feeling like I am going to vomit, especially when lying down, and also some pain throughout my head and pressure especially when bending over along with some dizziness. My ear on one side of my head also feels odd, like there is fluid in it, but I don t feel anything when I ve tested with my finger. I know i probably have a concussion, for which there is nothing I or a doctor can do, I m not sure if I should go in for a CT scan or not due to my symptoms.

Hello,

You had a head injury and now you feel dizziness, nausea / vomiting and head pressure. Your symptoms are indicative of head trauma or some internal injury. Neglect may lead to worsening of the symptoms. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP or a Surgeon. Get all blood tests, investigations and imaging tests (CT/MRI) done so that the pathology causing you symptoms may be detected. Get treated at the earliest. In the meantime, avoid doing heavy work, driving, etc. Stay at rest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
