Question: I get a pain in my lower back it runs down my legs makes my legs weak and I feel like I'm going to fall down I have arthritis but this does not feel like joint pain it feels like muscles or nerves

Arthritis of the spine may predispose to spinal degerative changes that may cause spinal cord stenosis, spondylolysthesis (slipped vertebrae), herniated disc disease, etc.

So, since the pain goes down your both legs and makes them weak, these conditions should be taken in consideration and evaluated further.

It is necessary to get evaluated by a Neurologist and by imaging studies of your lumbosacral spine ( MRI ) in order to achieve a correct diagnosis.

Treatment depends on the diagnosis and includes NSAID, painkillers drugs use, physical therapy, spinal injections and even decompressesive, stabilization surgery.
