Suggest Treatment For Severe Rashes Around The Groin Area

Tinea cruris most probably
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
After reading history and seeing the photos,I could conclude that most probably you may be suffering from Tinea cruris. It is a ring worm infection in groin areas. It is caused by fungus called dermatophyte. It is exacerbated by perspiration, soap and wetness after bath. There may be mild to severe itching. You may feel uneasiness. Kindly consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis. KOH test for fungus might confirm the diagnosis.
I would suggest...
- antifungal like Itroconazole capsule 100 mg thrice a day for few weeks after proper prescription
- antihistaminics like Levocetirizine 5 mg daily
- apply Sertaconazole cream
- improve immunity... immunobooster may be taken like Levamisole 150 mg twice a week
- improve hygiene.. for bath, use dettol liquid. Avoid soap
- keep the area dry. Wear clothes after drying the skin after bathing.
- wear cotton clothes
- now a days, the fungus has become resistant to regular antifungal medicines. So, I usually give little higher doses. Sometime, I give two antifungal medicines... like Fluconazole and Terbinafine.
Due to severe resistance, the condition takes longer time to clear. And relapses are common now a days. So, immunity and hygiene should be improved along with the treatment.
:: AVOID STEROID CREAM AND TABLETS.. WHICH MIGHT WORSEN THE CONDITION.
Kindly keep patience, take regular and long time treatment. Improve hygiene and immunity. You may get cure and relapses may be avoided.
I hope this would help you.
Thanks.
