Suggest Treatment For Severe Sinus Headaches
Seems to be drug resistent sinusitis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having recurrent episodic head-ache. I would like to ask you few more details.
Is there any nasal obstruction or running nose or post nasal drip (sinus secretions dripping back into the throat ) ?
Is your head-ache, one sided or associated with vomiting or fever ?
Kindly get back to me with the details.
As per your age and clinical details, recurrent head- ache could be due to drug resistant sinusitis or fluctuation in blood sugar or Bp (blood pressure) or electrolyte disturbances or age realed ischemic changes of brain.
I suggest you to to consult ent surgeon and give detailed history (medications or tension head-ache), detailed ent examination (sinusitis), blood tests (blood sugar, electrolytes) and if necessary CT scan of brain with para nasal sinuses ( anatomical abnormalities, ischemic changes and pathological extent). Depending on the examination reports further treatment is required accordingly.
Mean time, start steam inhalation twice daily to clear secretions from clogged sinuses. take tab. Zyrtec (citrizine) once daily and tab Tylenol as SOS.
Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Wishing you good health.
