Sinus infection
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns
You are currently being treated with an antibiotic for a sinus infection. You had fever and nasal congestion and that is getting better but you still have lingering facial swelling red eyes and night sweats with neck pain. This is all to be expected with a significant sinus infection. I would recommend that you finish the antibiotics and give it an additional 3-4 days. The reason it is taking so long is that sinus infections are notorious for taking a long time to clear. The facial swelling eye puffiness and red eyes are all related to the sinus infection. The night sweats are also part of the disease process. The neck pain can be related to the lymph nodes trying to fight off the infection. You just need to give it more time. You may also start using ibuprofen or tylenol prior to sleep which will reduce the sweats and pain.
