Suggest Treatment For Severe Teeth Pain While On Amoxicillin And Lidocaine

default
Posted on Mon, 8 Feb 2016
Question: I have had about 4 ulcers in my mouth for a week along with tongue and teeth pain near the ulcer locations. Also have been tired. Went to Patient First who said it was probably viral, negative for strep. They gave me amoxicillin anyway and lidocaine. Still concerned that more could be going on. Any suggestions to relieve pain from ulcers or what could be going on? I have a message in to primary care doctor.

Brief Answer:
Seems like Apthous Ulcers or Canker Sores.

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems like you might have Canker Sores in mouth that commonly represent as painful mouth ulcers..
It can occur due to a few common causes like deficiencies of Iron and Vitamin B12, stress, hormonal imbalances, acid reflux etc.
At times it can occur with no specific underlying cause..

Nothing to worry as it will resolve soon..

You can take Multivitamin supplements..
Continue application of Lignocaine over the ulcers..
Do warm saline gargles..
Gargling with soda bicarb solution can also help..
You can take Ibuprofen to reduce pain and inflammation.
Sucking ice can be helpful..
Maintain a good Oral hygiene..

Continue doing for a week and revert me back at the the response of treatment..

Wishing you good health..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
