Question: I'am a 78 year old male in good health.During last week I started having a buzzing in my ear area throughout my days but was not a problem when I went to bed at night. As for my daily routine it is bother some but not a cause for me to change anything at this point that I do on my regular schedule.
I currently have a regularly scheduled quarterly doctor appointment this coming week with with my family doctor and was wondering if you might be able to advise me of what the problem might be.

Additionally if you have any suggestions that I might try would be most helpful.

Brief Answer:
Ear wax

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to Health Care Magic, I am Dr Muhammd Ahmad, I have closely read your question and I understand your concerns, I will hereby guide you regarding your health related problem.

If buzzing starts suddenly then usually it is due to ear wax accumulations, when ear wax gathers and swells up after getting moist during shower or swimming, it starts touching eardrum and causes buzzing.

I would suggest you not to panic your doctor can look into your ear and see if there is ear wax or not...Ear wax can be cleared easily by a doctor. Sometimes ear buzzimg can be caused by hole in eardrum but your case doesnt seem to be ome as there is no suggestive history.

I would suggest you to stay calm dont try to do anything with your ear yoursrlf and discuss the issue with your doctor who will look into the problem and get it sorted out it sems to be simple ear wax. till then dont let water enter your ear.

I hope this answered your question, if you have more feel free to ask, otherwise close the discussion and rate it.

Regards.
