Suggest Treatment For Shooting Pain In The Buttocks And Hip Area

Question: Hello
I recently started feeling a shooting pain on my right buttocks/hip area. While driving I felt a sudden shooting pain localized to that area. no pain down leg. I simply moved positions and it went away. the last few days it started getting more common. today i drove to another city and I am in pain in bed. regardless of position within 5 min the shootkng pain occurs and i shift positions. the pain is still only in the buttocks area but very intense and almost throbbing while shooting pain occurs. pain lasts 5-10 sec. its getting more frequent and painful. i did carry some stone to my basement before this occured and may have strained. i have no tender spots on back.

Brief Answer:
Possible Sciatica /PIVD?Need confirmation.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
I understand your concern.
As per your symptoms you possibly seem to have Sciatica.
This could be due to prolapsed intervertebral disc/PIVD in the lower back area.
All I suggest you is to get an MRI spine of the lumbar region at the early.
This scan can diagnose the cause and location of nerve compression causing pain.
Further management is based on the test results.
Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
