Suggest Treatment For Shortness Of Breath And Fluid In Legs And Stomach
Your symptoms are suggestive for heart failure...
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.
Based on the data you provided, your symptoms are suggestive for hypertensive cardiomyopathy and heart failure (that is manifested with dyspnea, hypertension, leg edema, water retention etc.).
If you were my patients I would recommend to do the following examinations:
- Blood work
- ECG
- Cardiac ECHO
- Holter monitoring
These examinations are of help in confirming the diagnosis and to determine the best therapy regimen.
Please can you provide the list of medications you are already taking, so i will be able to give you more accurate suggestions?
Meanwhile I would like to suggest:
- Reduce salt intake
- Add water pills (furosemid) to reduce leg edema.
Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
After reviewing the list of your medication I would like to say that you aren't taking betablockers.
If you were my patient I would recommend to take Nebivolol which is a betablockers recommended to be used on hypertension and heart failure. More over I would recommend to switch from clorthalidone to a more potent water pill drug (for example furosemide or torasemide). This will be of help in reducing leg edema and dyspnea.
Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!
