Suggest Treatment For Sinus Infection, Congestion, Anxiety And Neck Pain

The antibiotics given to you were not the drug of choice for sinusitis...
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for posting the query. I do understand your problem; I will try my best to help you with this.
First of all, the antibiotics you have taken are not the specific ones to treat sinusitis. Hence, you are not feeling completely better.
My suggestions to you are:
1. Get an X-ray of the paranasal sinuses to confirm the diagnosis and check for any blockage of the sinuses.
2. Do steam inhalation 2-3 times in a day. Steam is a very good nasal decongestant; it helps in reducing your problem sooner.
3. Use saline nasal spray as frequently as possible. Saline is also a powerful decongestant without any side effects.
4. If phlegm is present, you can try using ambroxol or bromhexine (both come under various brand names).
5. Do not stress up. In your age, because of the atrophy of the nasal glands the lubrication of the nose will not be functioning effectively, hence, the delay in healing. Stress worsens your problems; hence, you need to avoid stress as far as possible.
6. Neck pain can cause dizziness (cervical vertigo). I doubt the vertigo is because of flonase.
7. Drink plenty of warm water.
8. Avoid smoking/coffee/chilled food and beverages.
Trust me, with the above measures you will definitely feel better. Revert back to me if you have any further queries.
Regards
