Brief Answer:
According to the severity of the severity

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX, this depends on the depth and severity of the scar. but I will list below some guidelines that will help you remove them.
1) massage your scar daily with a moisturizer cream , this will help collagen circulation to the site of the scare. this will help collagen to be evenly disturbed through skin. collagen is fundemintal to healing of scars.
2) apply a sunscreen on your scars when you are going out. UV rays cause scars to darken . use a sun screen with spf 50 or more
3) eat plenty of vitamin c and zinc enriched food as citrus fruits, nuts, broccoli
4) use a cream as scargaurd to help scar to fade out
5) you could get a chemical peeling to eliminate the outer layer of the damaged skin . this will done by a dermatologist
6) cryosurgery is also a line of treatment , done by a plastic surgery to remove damaged tissues
