Suggest Treatment For Small Knot On The Penis

default
Posted on Tue, 25 Aug 2015
Question: My husband asked me to make a dr. Appt. for him. Not like him at all. When asked why he said he had what he referred to as a small knot on his penis. About 20 years ago he was diagnosed with Peyronnes disease, took Potaba and Vitamin E for a time and his symptoms went away and haven't returned. He says the knot is sore and I can tell he is worried. I can't get him in to see a dr until Aug.30. Do you think it is wise to wait?

Brief Answer:
Most probably, it's a recurrence of Peyronie's disease.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, i can fully understand your concern.
Peyronie's disease is known to cause the same symptoms , you're describing.
As he had it in the past, it's best to get it checked by an Urologist, before the plaque increases in size. If there's pain or a hard feel anywhere over the shaft of the penis,it's most probably, a recurrence of Peyronie's disease.
Your husband can make out best. In case, he says it's the same feeling as had earlier, then there's no harm in starting the same medicines, which are standard for treatment for Peyronie's disease.
It may be painful at time of erection.
Hope your doubt is cleared. Feel free to contact me anytime.
Wishing him a speedy recovery.
