Suggest Treatment For Small Purple Cyst Like Growth On Lingual Frenulum
No panic,
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the query,
I understand how this could be disturbing. In case it is not painful, and you just discovered two weeks ago, and if its not increasing in size, I really think you need not bother that much.
However, the possibility of this being there for a longer time than you think should not be excluded. Maybe, lately you had a closer and too close look or observation of your mouth before you noticed. This could be a rare possibility too.
Painless growths , without any pain, and that are not increasing in size are usually not bothersome. It is important to know if your salivation, taste, or swallowing patterns have changed lately. Also, if the quality of your saliva has changed or not. If nothing amongst these have changed , you need not worry for a possibility of a mouth structure cancer (salivary glands, basal tongue tumors are slim).
This should not be an issue of panic in my opinion. Meeting an ENT specialist however for a coomplete review of the mouth to exclude any abnormal growths is still advisable.
No panic though and just take your time to book an appointment.
Best regards as I wish you the best of health.
