Suggest Treatment For Small Tissue Growth In The Perineum After Delivery
Age: 29 years
Height: 170cm
Weight: 62 kgs
Problem: 3 months back i delivered a baby boy through normal delivery with vacuum. The doctor had made stitches in the pelvic region. However , there is now a tissue growth at the neck of the womb/cervix which is gradually increasing in size.
When consulted with the doctor he has advised to do Cauterization with full body anesthesia.
However i am apprehensive about the method being used to remove the growth(tissue).
Is there any other method to remove the tissue growth without any trouble?
If yes which doctor do i visit.I stay in Goa XXXXXXX
Cauterization is best.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
To remove a small tissue growth in the perineum it is best to have a cauterization. For this procedure, short general anaesthesia or deep sedation is the best way. Another way is to get it done under local anaesthesia but that can be painful.
It is best to visit a dermatologist for this purpose. To search a good dermatologist nearest to your place, you can search for a doctor in your area at

Thanks for your prompt reply, i m satisfied with your reply. However,in this regard, i wanted to approach the same gynecologist who did my delivery. He is a MD, D.G.O.(Obstetrician, gynecologist and gynaec endoscopist).
I would like to know what is the role of dermatologist in cauterisation? I also want to know the reason for the growth of the tissue. After removal through cauterization will the issue be sorted once and for all?
Thanking you

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The overgrown tissue can be a hypertrophied scar or a skin tag. The exact diagnosis can be done after histopathology of the tissue removed before cauterization. The further growth of the tissue is largely prevented after cauterization. A dermatologist is likely to do cauterisation more cosmetically with minimum scar. Even your gynecologist can do the procedure well.
Hope my answer is helpful.
