Brief Answer:
Possible Tendonitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam,

I understand your concern.

These symptoms could point to Achilles tendinitis.
I advise you the following-

1.Rest or decrease activity level. No clear recommendations are available for the duration of rest; however, patients should restrict activities that cause pain.

2.Ice is recommended for the first 24-48 hours.

3.Strengthening and stretching exercises can be performed once the pain has subsided. Eccentric strength training can be effective in treating tendinopathies.

For the above you need to consult a physiotherapist.

For effective pain relief,i recommended the following..

For prompt relief of pain,I recommend Tab Naproxen 500 mg PO initially, then 500 mg PO q12hr PRN,which should be continued for 10-14 days under gastro protective drugs like Pantoprazole 40 mg.

Single IM dose of Hydrocortisone injection will help to relieve pain substantially.

Please note all the mentioned drugs have to be taken only under strict medical prescription.

Further investigations like MRI are need only if the pain does not subside with above measures.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
