Question: Hi, I am 53 ys old very healthy . I started getting raised bumps in clusters that then popped and itched. They would crust over then heal. I also was fatigued, had a sore throat, head ache and shortness of breath. This came on quickly then went away and then returned. It has now been a month. I am an athlete, (Triathlete), so know how I should be breathing while exercising. I am really looking for an answer. My Dr. said it could be bug bites....really. Please give some professional insite. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Please upload an image.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query. The eruptions seem to be due to herpes or chicken pox (another member of herpes family). Herpetic lesions are characterized by fluid filled vesicles which subsequently rupture and heal with crusting. If that is the case, isolation is advisable till the crustings fall off.

I would insist you to upload an image. It will help me to confirm whether it could be due to bug bites as pointed by your doctor.

I would await your response.

Regards
