Question: I have a fever, loss of appetite, an extremely sore throat, a constant headache, white spots on the back of my tongue, lethargic. I thought I was just sick, but it seems to be getting worse. Does this look like strep?

Brief Answer:
definitely possible, need a strep test

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that it is strep throat, the pic does not clearly show pustules to the back of the throat but with severe throat pain and fever, it is definite possibility.

In most cases, sore throat is due to viral infection but if the sore throat worsens instead of improving, prolonged fever- bacterial infection is suspected.

You would need a strep test at your doctor's office to confirm strep. If confirmed then antibiotics would be needed.

Other treatment consists of pain/fever medication such as paracetamol or ibuprofen, topical medication such as covonia throat spray or chloroseptic.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
