Question: Hello! I am requesting information regarding medicines. I have been sick with a cold since thursday (sore throat did start last wed night). I think ive hit the worst of it today. I have a fever and chills, sore throat (from coughing so much. Ive now lost my voice and my head hurts from all the pressure related to coughing), body aches, and a runny nose. I took nyquil a little while ago, because i am exhausted and havnt been sleeping well due to my runny nose and cough. However, im still wheezing and coughing pretty bad. I have asthma and have an abuterol inhaler- is that okay to take when ive already taken nyquil? Also, im having uterine cramps from a bad period that is coming on. Tylenol dosnt normally touch the pain (i know nyquil has the tylenol ingredient in it). Is it okay to take ibprofen later in the night if the cramps become so painful? Worried if the three are bad to take together. And if so, what else i could maybe take instead. I dont want to go the antibiotic route if i dont have to. I took an antibiotic for bronchitis about 7 weeks ago, and have been run down ever since. I had a bad stomach flu 3-4 weeks ago. I feel like another antibiotic would wipe me out and make me more succeptible to yet another cold. However i know if i have a lingering cough in a few more days id need to be seen by a doctor in person.
