Question: I have a very sore foot. I am moving and I think this was caused by my being on my feet all day. It is most painful just behind the big toe. I have more moving to do today so what might help this. It has never happened before and I am a very healthy 71 years old. I have an ace bandage, would that help and how would I wrap it to be the most helpful?

Brief Answer:
Take Ibuprofen!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Certain the foot wear and being on your toes all day didn't help either. I will suggest that you take ibuprofen 400mg every 8ours for relief. If this doesn't help fully with the pain, then add tylenol.

I will also recommends ice packs. In bandaging, try to make it a non pressure point such that pressure is taken off it. Resting is really essential and I will not want you to insist on playing tennis tomorrow if there is no great improvement as that might only delay full recovery.

I wish you well. Keep me posted about this. If any doubts, feel free to follow up with me.
