Brief Answer:
Needs investigations & specific treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for the query under Health care magic. I have read it &understood your concern.
The pain in neck muscles you have could be due to..
-sprain &strain due to wrong posture while sleep.. as you guess.... Such pain usually goes with home care within 8-10 days of time. The fact that it is still persistant indicates more evaluation of the problem.
-It can be wrong neck posture while your daily routine (while reading, writing, working on a computer).. which needs correction of posture.
-the possobility of pressure on the supplying nerve needs to be focused on .. if both above possibilities don't stand.
Such pressure can be due to a cervical rib. In this condition the pain is one sided .Likely to start in old age due to drooping of shoulders ..thus causing pressure by the rib on nerve supplying neck muscles..
The nerve pressure due to cervical spondylosis is another possibility . The osteoporosis/calcium &vitamine defeciency in old age could be the cause.
I think that answers your query. Any more information you want ,please feel free to ask.
If you don't have any follow up query please close the query before you leave.
Thanks.
