Suggest Treatment For Spinal Stenosis
Question: The the muscles in my right leg are tight. It makes walking difficult. I have had several Botox shots in the leg
but they have not helped. I did have a stroke in 2013 and the problem seems to have started after the stroke.
I assume the stroke has played a role, but I wonder how. I also have spinal stenosis. Any idea what causes the tight muscles. Thanks, XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Take treatment as advised
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
Stroke leads to increased tone in affected side of body. This occurs due to lack of inhibition of excitatory cells at spinal cord.
The drugs like tolperisone, baclofen or tizanidine can be used for decreasing the tone.
Botox is also another option and dose is gradually increased in follow up.
Visit to a neurologist for detailed examination and treatment prescription.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
