Suggest Treatment For Spotting In A Menopause Women
Question: Hi I am a 71 yr old way past menopause women. I had some spotting. My pelvic exam was good, my
pap smear was good and the ultra sound was good. What was the spotting from? No one seems

I appreciate your concern because any spotting or bleeding after menopause should be investigated properly.
There are two primary causes of postmenopausal bleeding-
-The Uterus lining becomes too thin- Atrophy (Estrogen deficiency)
-The uterus lining becomes too thick-Endometrial cancer
Other reasons it can be due to polyp, infection and cervical cancer.
If your pap smear and ultrasound reports are normal, then you should go for hysteroscopy along with endometrial biopsy to find out the cause.
