Suggest Treatment For Stabbing Abdominal Pain

My Mother was suffering from severe stabbing like pain in right lower abdomen on 2nd March. We have immediately rushed her to a emergency care in a hospital where they have given some medications and suggested us to take ultra sound scanning. But they could not find anything abnormal in ultrasound scanning. Later they have given some pain killer tablets and suggested us to meet a urologist.
We met Urologist on subsequent day, Urologist has prescribed few medicines and told that there may be a possibility of Kidney stone which may not be found in Ultra sound. He suggested us to use medicines for 10 days and get a CT Scan and revisit again.
We have done CT scan on 12th of March, but still we could not find anything abnormal. However, in the summary of CT scan it is stated as "Right lung middle lobe posterior segment and left basal segment small fibroatelectatic lesions S/O- Chronic healed infective pathology.".
The pain is mostly subsided by now, but still trying to find out the causes and medicines cure completely.
P.S: Please find the complete set of attached reports.
CT chest - detailed history please
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate write up and reports.
Read the history related to your Mother which states that she presented with pain in the right loin going in front upper abdomen and nausea on 2nd March. Went to Apollo Hospital. All the investigations are normal except the CT scan showing Right lung middle lobe posterior segment and left basal segment small fibroatelectatic lesions S/O- Chronic healed infective pathology.
It is possible that the pleura over these lesions got inflamed and hence caused the pain as described you. This is called a referred pain.
I think a proper clinical evaluation and a CT scan of the chest may give some information about the lung/pleura lesion.
Please give a history still in more details so that I can assist you better.
I hope this answer helps you, please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
