Question: This morning I am having a very sharp stabbing pain every 5-10 minutes or so in the flank area, sometimes also felt under the bottom of my right lung. Just for a moment but very sharp. I do not feel otherwise sick or in pain. Just a normal day.

Brief Answer:
Ultrasound., X-ray chest and abdomen

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.
Read and understood your history and concerns.
To recapitulate: Female/ 67 - sharp stabbing pain every 5 to 10 minutes - in the flank - sometimes under base of right lung - just for moment - but very sharp to intestinal couherwise a normal day.
The commonest causes are:
This is a classical colic, comes and goes, hence can be due to intestinal obstruction.
Ureteric coloc due to stone or infection.
Gall bladder stones if in the right side.

This can be easily diagnosed by ultrssonography.and relevant tests of the blood, urine and stool.
Hence you needs to go to ER, get the EKG done as a first and then the other tests.

I hope this Anders your queries, Please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap communication.
