Suggest Treatment For Stabbing Pain In-between The Shoulder Blades
Question: My husband is 61 and two days go began running a fever 101.1, body aches, sore throat. We went to urgent care nose swab negative for flu. Did not do a throat swab. He is now still having bad sore throat, and has now developed sharp stabbing pain between shoulder blades.
Brief Answer:
He probably has a viral upper respiratory tract infection!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have reviewed this information fully. It is suggestive of probably viral upper respiratory tract infection. Antibiotics are not helpful. His symptoms only need to be managed. For the pain and fever, I recommend 1000mg of tylenol every 8hours. He should rest, eat well and drink much fluids.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
