Question: I have lower left stabbing back pain. What could this be?

To recapitulate: Female/69 - lower left - stabbing back pain - tried Tylenol and Ibuprofen - wants to know what could this be...
Additional information will help me to assist you better:
- Since when is the problem?
- Any history of accidental incidence like slipping of leg, twisting or bending injury, lifting heavy weight?
- Any other medical problems like diabetes, hypertension or flu like symptoms recently or at the moment?
- Any urinary symptoms?
- Any symptoms related to intestinal/abdominal/Gyne problems - like prolapse uterus?
-Any radiation to lower limbs or other parts?

The short history is suggestive of muscle spasm unless supported by other history as asked for.
Other reasons depend upon the other symptoms and reports of investigations to pin-point.
