Brief Answer:
possible bacterial gastroenteritis

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Gastroenteritis can be due viral or bacterial infection most commonly. Gastroenteritis is infection of the gastrointestinal tract.

Because you are noticing blood in the stool though in reduced quantities, it is possible that it may be bacterial and not viral since viral infections are not commonly associated with the presence of blood.

In most persons the symptoms would decrease with monitoring, fluids, probiotics and restricting foods but if this does not occur then antibiotics may be needed (if there is a bacterial infection).

You may need to visit your doctor for an assessment which may include physical examination of the abdomen and stool samples to the lab.

Other aspects of treatment are:
(1)restricting foods as you have done
(2)fluids and electrolyte replacement- if you do not replace what you are losing then weakness, dizziness, fatigue occur due to dehydration

Oral replacement packages are normally available at local pharmacies but if this is not an option then gatorade, which normally has in electrolytes, can also be used.

Need to continue to drink throughout the day. If you are not able to use large quantities use small amounts frequently (every few minutes)

(3)probiotics- these would help to repair the colon- can be available on their own or in some yogurts

(4)there are also some anti diarrheal drugs that you can use such as imodium or lomotil

Again because of the blood, it may be best to see your doctor.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
