Suggest Treatment For Sudden Vertigo
Possibility of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Is the vertigo persistent or episodic?
Any hearing loss, swaying while walking, weakness in limb, swallowing difficulty, sensory loss over face or body?
First possibility may be benign paroxysmal positional vertigo charactersied by sudden episodic, positional vertigo lasting for few seconds and recurrence in same posture.
The best treatment is Apley's maneuver done by a neurologist or ENT specialist.
Second possibility may be stroke but it usually is persistent with associated other symptoms as described above.
You should consult a neurologist or ENT specialist for evaluation, examination and investigation as required.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Do get back to me for further queries.

Thanks. It's episodic, with no other symptoms, so I am assuming the benign paroxysmal positional vertigo you mentioned as the first possibility. But I will consult an ENT doc to follow up.
