Question: I have sunburn from today. My nose has been getting burnt very easily. Is 30 SPF SunBlock good enough for the face or just on the nose? Also, moisturizer of ANY kind makes my face ITCH and sometimes breakout. Even though no fragrance hypoallergenic ones. I dont know what to do! My skin is always dry and I break out very easily. I use epiduo at night time, but I cant use it now I have sunburn and it makes it burn even more. thanks!

Brief Answer:
UV Moist; Sun Protection multiple ways

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
For starters' please stop Epiduo for the next 2 weeks at least. Most of my patients complain of excessive drying with this molecule & it is possibly because they use far more of it than required. You may want to consider a change of molecule.
As for the sunscreen, the SPF while important, is not the only factor to be considered. What is more important is that you remember to apply it at least 20-30 minutes before light exposure from XXXXXXX till dusk & re-apply it every 3-4 hrs. If swimming, sweating or washing the face, remember to reapply.
I understand your tryst with moisturisers'. May I suggest Neutrogena UV MOIST that is a sunscreen with a built-in moisturiser.
One cannot pin-point which sun-screen will be perfect for a particular person & it is largely a user trial method that works. I do hope the one I suggested will work & as it is an international label, it can be sourced pretty much anywhere in the world! Do remember to use a broad-brimmed hat & sun-shades to protect from the sun irrespective of lathering on a sunscreen.
For the sun-burn, please do use a product called "after-sun" from a company called "Uriage".
Trust all your queries have been answered & wish you a clear countenance soon! Good Luck & Godspeed!
