Suggest Treatment For Sunburn On The Eyes
Question: Hello Dr. Rynne,
I thought I got a sunburn on both my eyes on Saturday after skiing. Both eyes were red and sore. My right eye cleared up and my left eye bothered me a lot on Monday. It seemed harder to see out of it like there was stuff in my eye. At 1:15 am Tuesday morning my eye was crusted over and red. I started my husbands antibiotics that he used for his pink eye a month ago. Erythromycin Ophthalmic 0.5%. It was painful last night but doesn't seem bad today. I didn't have much crust this morning but it is still red. Do you think it is pinkeye? If so do I need to stay away from people? I am almost out of the antibiotic ointment and bought polysporin pink eye drops to use when finished. Thank you.
