Question: I was heel kicked in the penile shaft earlier today. Doesn't hurt when I urinate, only slight pain now, but it's a bid swollen about halfway down the shaft. Hardly any discoloration if any. What could be the issue?

Brief Answer:
The kick resulted in swelling sir, not serious, nothing to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. The trauma suffered has resulted in swelling on the shaft region of your penis sir, nothing else. This is nothing to worry about as soft tissue swelling after trauma usually subsides on its own.

I would although recommend you to avoid sexual activity, masturbation and make sure you avoid any further trauma or contact with the affected region till the swelling comes down. If tolerable, you can apply a cold compress to the region over your clothes during the first 2-3 days, which will help reduce swelling, and then a warm compress the next few days (2-3) over the region (again indirectly) which will help promote healing. This will result in rapid resolution of the swelling.

There is no issue sir and I would not worry too much about this, the swelling is simply because of the heel kick and will resolve in no time sir. I hope I have explained things to you in a manner best understood by you. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes sir.
