Question : I am having a problem with my left leg. It is swollen and red from my ankle to my knee. There is a noticeable lump on top of my ankle with firm swelling. I went to the hospital 2 days ago and they ran blood work and said that it was probably just retaining water and to keep it elevated. It has not gotten any better and is even more red than it was.
Brief Answer:
hi and welcome
Detailed Answer:
This looks like mild soft tissue cellulitis and beside leg eleveation you need antibiotics, antiinflammatory medicines, apply cold compresses and in case of progression you need to have this ankle immobilised. But it should subside on antibiotics within few days. wish you good health. Regards
