Suggest Treatment For Swollen Gums And Infection
I will help you through the case
Detailed Answer:
I welcome you Mr. XXXX!
Welcome you at my virtual clinic and want to assist you through the case.
Yes you have got swollen gums and all that is removed, but sometimes pockets of infection remains out there. It needs prompt treatment once again with a full course of antibiotics.
I usually prescribe such patients at my clinic:
Augmentin 1 gram (prescription drug) per oral twice daily for atleast 7days or even more if it is osteomyelitis.
Ibuprofen 800mg twice daily for 7days.
Omeprazole 40mg twice daily before meals per oral for 7days.
Apply heat to the side the hurts directly from the cheeks. It makes comfortable.
It does need investigations alongwith aggressive control of infection.
Hope I helped you today.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back XXXX!
I am sorry to hear all that history. But I will help you out of this pain. It's a 2nd episode (and more severe) of the orthodontic infection. Its the same as a person gets a sore throat, takes treatment, get ok, and after a couple of days gets pharyngitis once again.
They have done your blood work, nothing wrong with that, otherwise septicemia should have been clearly diagnosed and dealt with Intravenous medications.
Your swollen lymph nodes show infection in the gums and on the sides of teeth. Also, gum disease starts if you don't go on a regular basis and get cleaned the teeth beneath the gums.
When had you last done with deep cleaning your teeth??
Dental flossing, Tooth brushing and bi-annual deep cleaning (scaling) of the teeth can save you from such recurrent issues and timely diagnosis of bone decay, that leads to frequent tooth and gum infection, cavities or any other dental issue.
Now you need an antibiotic course, but with the added benefit of Clavulanate so as to cover more effectively. But its per oral. You need not to worry and don't think that, you should have an Injectable. Oral will cover all, what's needed.
An addition of clavulanate, allows amoxicillin to have a more extended spectrum of action that inhibits beta-lactamase-producing bacteria.
What you can add to make yourself safer is going for lab work for:
HBS Ag antigens for hepatitis B screening
Anti HCV antibodies for Hepatitis C screening
HIV Screening
It's needed because dentists are spreading Hepatitis and AIDS, and you should have a screening done.
Hope it helps. Please start the treatment and you will start getting better in days. Please don't forget to give your valuable feedback and five star rating, to help me assist you in a better way in future too.
