Suggest Treatment For Swollen Mouth Post Injury
Question: hi, my one year old son got cut inside mouth by a hook made of steel, it was bleeding initially but after a minute it stopped. But i can see his mouth is swollen one side. how can i treat my child.

Hi...as a first aid you can give him some sugar to relieve the pain and deviate him immediately. As for swelling no need to worry, it will settle in XXXXXXX course. If he is still complaining of pain, you can give him Ibuprofen at 10mg/kg/dose every 8th hourly once and see your pediatrician tomorrow. This medicine will take care of swelling too.
